Wabtec getting locomotive work

I'm not familiar with how locomotive work is done, but is this "modernization" work that Wabtec is getting legal under the contract.

So they took my post down about what happened with the DC transportation board meeting. It is illegal to give that work to wabtec. Guys are laid off so I guess he got a slap on the hand. Can’t wait to see what he ruins next. Go for the gold Eddy you can bring this entire company down hahahah. Your the best at thinking your above your employees but they are the ones that make your profit not you or any management. I guess they don’t teach that at Ohio state. Guess they just teach how to get a job because of daddy 101!!!

Does anyone believe NS or for that matter all Class 1s are gonna sign a contract with the Union? It is no secret they want sub contractors doing some of this work

If it’s not legal, the unions will fight it out in court and the carrier will pay dearly for their malfeasance!!!

Meanwhile the shops could be doing the work at 1/2 the price, but the supervisors will want 5 a day ensuring that no attention to quality or detail is given to a single unit.
