Had a watercooler discussion with management during team meeting. They were talking about new strategical changes coming of reducing reporting levels to max 5. I belongs to middle level management. Are they planning to eliminate middle level management completely?

I agree with the others… how would that even be possible? They did recently re-organize my entire team (I’m an low-level associate. Not in management.) and they took away my Associate VP’s entire team, and now she doesn’t have anyone reporting to her currently. That can’t be good. Yikes.
How would that even be possible?
