Their goal is to make sure you stay and continue to take all the abuse the leadership is throwing your way because they want you to think you don't deserve better. They'll do whatever they can to make sure you think that. The many "be lucky you have a job" comments fall under this. Here's the thing, though. You're worth much more and there are plenty of companies that will see that. If you want to stay because it's not that bad for you, then stay. But please don't stay because you think you can't do better, because I'll guarantee you that you can.

I left Fiserv to a greener place. Actually since Fiserv was a second job I simply left it behind and my primary job was remote. Easy decision.
Another person who either works for our competition or is seeking comfort in trying to justify their job change by convincing others to potentially make a mistake. Some have already left the company where ‘the grass was greener’.
