Thread regarding Truist Bank layoffs

This kind of culture leads to ruin

I don’t get this whole new truist culture, it’s sickening how morals and ethics went out the window and we are supposed to give the appearance that truist cares to clients meanwhile we can’t even manage to care about teammates. Clients know no one cares because the teammates are treated poorly and it goes right back to the clients. Until this bank learns to take care of their people, nothing will get done. They claim that they want to make communities we live in a better place although they want to treat everyone in their own house like dirt. I can’t see this company staying alive much longer with this culture and under appreciation of staff. I literally beg and plead for my staff and try to represent them and their frustrations and middle management and executives don’t care at all, they are robotic say the same scripts and read spreadsheets and leak purple in the facilities. I don’t see any future here for people who are hard working, this is crazy bc I planned on retirement here. I hope things change and leadership is replaced. This swamp needs to be drained and get people in leadership who knows to put teammates first.

WOW.....I FEEL LUCKY THAT I WAS DISMISED EVEN IF OUT Of SPITE and SUPPORTED BY LIES....I probably would have stayed on out of inertia and delayed the daily suffering... By God's grace, I escaped the misery that has been unfolding......

Did you see how brandt left right before the announcement of the covenant agreement riders to the incentive plans haha what a joke, he knew what he was doing. The came out with that new rule for anyone who quits from now on and he quit right before it. This whole company is a jaded show. The only people who are appreciated are the alternate personalities of our execs by their own personality. I appreciate me haha what a joke!

Excellent post and well stated. It’s about optics with these alleged leaders. I will point out one little noted thing, the lead director of the BOD was a legacy Suntrust board member when Kelly was at the helm. When Rogers took over all duties last week a legacy BBT board member was appointed as lead director. The facade of MOE is being kept up with these kind of optics. It was a takeover and Kelly and the board were complicit by their actions then and the continued actions of all. I don’t know how people such as Bible and Starnes for example can look in the mirror daily and be proud of what they see looking back at them. They were viewed as men of integrity at BBT. Are they now part of the problem, or part of the solution? I guess time will tell.

Here’s the full below.. btw one of the executives I posted about here, left the building this week.

“ I spoke with two senior executives last week and they told me the same. I was asking them what their plan is for retaining talent because I’m losing all talent in my department because the bank does care to retain them. I told the executives that I’m not being paid enough to be dealing with the non stop turnover in my department and rehiring and training ect. I was trying to see if they can boost pay to keep top performing instead of rewarding them the same as low performing. They told me that the bank has no plans, we will lose good people and the bank can’t afford to give them a fair recognition raise for their hard work, meanwhile they told me all year they would be able to so I told my people to work hard and they’ll be taken care of, it was all a lie to get some last performance out of them before they quit. I was told for myself if I want more pay because of the stresses of turnover in my department that I should wait until now and look for a higher paying role when everyone leaves because of the low recognition the bank has been paying to top performing people. They said we know everyone with talent is going to leave once they see these raises, they said that I should find my happiness in someone else’s misery. I explained how can I be happy then? If you short changed them while they performed and I was short changed now for high performance, why should I go to a higher paying role where you’ll also not reward and take care of me? They had no answer. Thank you!! This i posted this a while ago 😅 I’m thankful someone brought it to the top. Hbbt here worked with the one who left the building for a while but I’m still here trying to make change. People first kind of leader, by people I mean teammates before anything else. Not too popular especially in this new environment, I’ll see how long I stay with the vision I speak and all, my time may be short too because no one wants to hear it at suntruist. I’m believing this was a takeover..
