Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

ATTN: WF Leaders

ATTN: WF leaders

I hope you like angry employees who have no plans for in-office interaction. There will be NO water cooler chats or meetings in packed-in conference rooms (well attend from desk).

There will so much time wasted due to commutes/traffic, distractions from overly enthused bvtt-kissers and loud calls (many having to talk louder through masks), daily workspace setup/cleaning, frequent breaks to escape the mind-numbing madness, etc.

Grown adults (many of whom WFH for years before pandemic) no longer trusted to know what's most productive are, therefore, no longer motivated to give WF their best.

Gone are all those days of 12+ hrs. You will get 8 hrs (at best) and no more.

You've relegated staff to robots. Not a great way to serve customers, boost stock price, or retain/attract employees.

You shall reap what you so misguidedly sow.

The breakfasts and brunches some groups are having is misguided and insulting. It really shows the disconnect of management. Let’s line up 80 people and then have them sit together maskless while there’s a pandemic still going on! Brilliant idea! Let’s collaborate around the water cooler on the name of the next variant we create.

I got a 1% raise. I will be spending over three hours of my day fighting traffic and spending nearly 6$ a gallon for gas. I will be paying 20$ or more per day to park. I will have to spend at least a half hour disinfecting my cube each day. I will be far less productive due to the do nothing circus that is office work. I will have to deal with co-workers trying to find as many ways as they can find to waste time until they leave each day. I will have to deal with co-workers who join every lame group and meeting they can do they don’t have to do any actual work. I am majorly losing productivity each day I have to drive in and I am not spending a minute longer than I have to in the office. I will be 100% unreachable the second I set foot out of that door until my schedule starts the next day. But if my group offers breakfast that is supposed to make that bearable?

Please before covid hit we had some of the lowest unemployment numbers on record, along with low inflation. What we have now with the current admin is 8% inflation and stagflation, your 100k salary in real terms is fast approaching nill.

So does WFH disappearing mean you will then need $10 million to retire?

Since when does a crashing economy mean more jobs added in the first year than former guy's whole term?

Totally agree! Looks what happening at Goldman Sachs and other companies. Large numbers (50% or more) of employees are refusing to return bc they know they are more productive working from home.

This should help establish that work-life balance the leaders say they want us to achieve.
