What states can you collect unemployment after taking a voluntary layoff??? If anyone knows, please provide us information. I think so many people are tired of the Humana stress/drama that they are willing to take voluntary layoffs this next round.

Keep in mind though if you "opt out" during a RIF you will not qualify for UE once severance completed in most states. If you don't opt out and impacted then yes you most likely can get. I opted outlast RIF in Dec.
You’d need to call your state unemployment office and ask. Different states have different rules about whether you can collect unemployment at the same time you’re collecting severance. Almost all would allow you to collect unemployment if you were part of a RIF, but when that would start—during severance or after it ends—would depend on each state’s rules. You might also try a search to see if you can find that info for your state online.
