OP is 1000% correct. Loyalty is for friends, family and select people in your life. Companies are NOT people, they are not ‘family’. Your relationship with your company is 100% transactional. Your skills for their compensation. If that isn’t fitting your needs, you re-negotiate or move on.

The truth is there is no shortage of cash for raises and bonuses. Just one big as----e at the top who does nothing but pocket the money that should be going to employees.
