Could someone please tell me what the severance policy is like now because I was totally surprised when I saw that someone here mentioned that the severance policy has been updated. I haven't heard anything about that. Am I missing something?
I hope someone isn't intentionally spreading fake rumors about severance just to cause panic.

Yeah. No handouts for retail clerks. Only skilled employees.
I can confirm the original mention that was made. This was done quietly regarding severance. Band 7 and below no longer qualify for the 2 weeks that was there previously, including when stores are closed or sold to resellers or third parties. Band 6 or those promoted to band 6 or above would qualify for the original 2 week per year or transfer with relocation assistance. It is all hush hush.
band 5 has different cap
If you work in a store your screwed.

non-bargained employees below band 5 get 2 weeks/year of service capped at 35 weeks. Includes paid cobra for same amount of time.
