With release of new poor earnings projections and continually saying to roll with it with change what is coming? They preach transparency yet cannot provide it to those who they employ.

The article said they will cut 1 billion to re-invest in other areas. In other words make cuts in programs that aren’t profitable to re-invest in the latest and hottest ideas/model/initiatives that they think will be profitable. This is all supported in BB emails.
The plan was always to sell of the hospice part, they only wanted the home health licenses part..they said that last year

Layoffs are coming. No way Humana can shave off a billion without it. There’s been some mistakes made in upper leadership and instead of accepting responsibility, they’ll lay off people that are doing their job. I suspect in addition to selling off Kindred hospice, they’ll outsource case management at some point. No ROI there. Maybe even get rid of some layers of leadership. ADs with five direct reports or Directors with three or four are at risk.
Layoffs are coming (they never stop at Humana). Humana will never be transparent about it. Not until you’re sitting in the meeting with HR being given your 60 day notice.
Layoffs are a feature of Humana. The balance sheet has little to do with it. This is how Himana manage staff, keep them in fear.
It’s frustrating. I’ve only been with the company for a few months and this is happening sooner than expected.
