Thread regarding Nike Inc. layoffs

Education?

Does anyone else feel like you’re constantly being asked to educate people at this company? Repetitively the same functions, educating on the same thing? At some point, if someone isn’t getting it when is it on them to self-educate and take initiative?

Apparently if you’re not “roadshowing” constantly you’re not being a team player.

the company hires unqualified people and passes on or terminates qualified people. unqualified people get hired because of politics and connections. those who are qualified who remain are doing most if not all of the work to prop up their unqualified colleagues and managers, and they don't quit because they are worried about not being able to find another job so they stay and continue to be the glutton

@pww exactly what I’d expect someone who requires reteaching to say. Bummer you don’t see the inefficiencies.

I think this comment is similar to the presentation thread. At nike people like to hear themselves talk, if you don’t fit that mold you might not get far and it can be draining.

It's brain drain combined with people who know they are only going to be at Nike for a short time. People only want to know just enough to do the bare minimum while they look for their next ship to jump to.

Everyone repeatedly learn and teach at some point in their career. You sound selfish and maybe have stayed at one job for too long
