Thread regarding Mondelez International Inc. layoffs

This Company gets you coming and going

I recently found a new job (Hallelujah! The last 2 weeks at the new job feel like vacation comparatively), and for the most part I thought I was mainly done with this company...I was wrong.

Payday comes and I have nothing from Mondelez. I call my old boss who tells me to call HR who tell me I've "already been paid for my last week" (the 14th). The problem here is two fold:

  1. When was this extra week given to me previously? I almost doubt if they paid it to me that it was for my current position.
  1. I worked OT every week since some point in the summer. They still owe me something because they can't predict OT.

Now I'm worried they'll try to mess around with the bonuses they owe me for December\Q4. All I want to do is be rid of this company once and for all. It truly is one of the worst.

Just an update:

I am still getting my Q4 bonus as well as M12 at very least. I was still arguing with HR over final week pay, but as long as I'm getting this, it's not worth it. I'm sure I won't get whatever M1 ended up being for my former territory, but it's worth it. Barely a month into my new job and every day has felt like a vacation. Seriously, if you're not happy, leave. It's not worth it, no matter the pay.

Amatuer mistake.

You should have taken short term disability. (Under 2 weeks no doctors not required).

Also pushed your last day out another two weeks for vacation and not shown up.

They would have used your vacation days while you could have sat around drinking Mai Thais.

That way you would have collected your bonus and had over a month of free time.

We literally had a guy would would do this.
He would claim Short Term Disability. Show up one day to work. Then claim short term again! Guy was legendary!!

Better luck next time! :)

You have to be an employee to receive your bonus, so you won't get that if you are no longer employed.
On the brighter side, congrats! No bonus is worth the treatment Mondelez management uses with their employees....abusive to say the least!
When they pull those "policies" out of their butts, make sure you are aware that those must apply to everyone. Discrimination runs rampant in this organization.
Getting out, unless you plan to stay and fight, is the best thing you can do for yourself.

Pretty sure to get your bonuses there is some kind of "clause" where you still have to be working here, blah, blah, blah. So basically, good luck trying to collect your bonuses if you are now an "ex employee." I could be wrong, but for some reason I remember reading this BS somewhere along the time I've been working here.

Please let us know if you ever receive your money.

I love how deeply hidden all the "policies" are at Mondelez. Have fun trying to access them. Unless of course they want to use a policy to discipline you, then they'll pull it right up. You'll be standing/sitting there with HR shoving a policy in your face you did not know even existed.

To all of you people that think unions are not a good idea, this is why all the constant BS we all have to put up with is allowed. If there was a union in place Mondelez would not get away with all the shady behaviors they constantly perpetuate onto the workers.

Disgraceful...
