I notice on LinkedIn they all these store managers /ops or anyone higher up are all liking new places to work... seem they are panicking for the big cut next week.. which goes to show they dont know if they will have a job going forward

I'm telling you folks. This company is just full of surprises. Changes and cuts coming this summer after the new minimum wage $15/hour in May.
The stores who are getting more positions are clearly the ones who are profitable! Pretty sure my store isn't getting anything except to find an Omni Manager
Not panicking??? We have 35 open jobs posted and guess what nobody is applying. We are so short staffed that it feels like Christmas all over.
What is the June announcement going to be? If anyone has info please share

"June" has already been announced to the stores.
My store hasn’t announced anything either but we all know something is happening in June. Not sure why June though.

Yes We are Getting 4 Captains
10 sales and 3 support.
1 OVM will be ops/ omni and other is visual/ merch
yeah but i wonder why the managers quit in the middle of Christmas?

Nobody is panicking in my store. A lot of managers quit during Xmas, so we have openings for managers. And way too many associates that they hired after Xmas. We don’t need that many people.
To the poster that said their getting more captains and selling colleagues. No one is getting more of anything! Macys is not investing anymore in the selling side! If anything macys is taking from resources from the store and diverting it all to Omni… macys is downsizing every area , but Omni!!
Not one person is panicking at my store. The OVM’s have their new titles and job descriptions which is almost the same. We’re gaining more captains and more selling floor colleagues. Yes, there are changes. Are they for the better? It’s way too early to tell as they haven’t even rolled out yet.
