Thread regarding Oracle Corp. layoffs

Could ORCL swallow HPE?

Just food for thought, would it make sense?

I like to visualize Oracle as an old rusted out ship with other smaller ships bolted onto the sides.

Kind of like Computer Associates … how did their acquisition strategy go?

HPE may have its problems but I think it is too good for Oracle. I say this having worked for both. But it is unlikely that Oracle would want to swallow HPE. I can't see even a stupid business case for it.

I like to visualize Oracle as an old rusted out ship with other smaller ships bolted onto the sides. I suppose they could bolt on HPE. Why not? The more weight, the faster it will sink. Don’t forget about that $73 billion debt though.

Perfect, think of the synergies of the result of the two fused garbage trucks, and why not, let's have Tesla provide the electric ones, so we can see how high the flames go, Where is that infrastructure money anyway?

Good one, man!

IBM is resurgent, now that they have dumped Ginni, Watson and Kyndryl. They could be poised for a Microsoft level turnaround….if they haven’t damaged their talent pool and reputation too much.

No, ORCL would not buy HPE.

HPE looks a bit like Sun Micro without any SW technology.
A dying husk of a company.

$73 billion in debt already. Doesn’t sound like a good idea LE.

I just see how low HPE market cap is and might take only $25bill to acquire.
Just a hunch and pure speculation.

They both have a presence in TX. I just don’t see the value in O having that kind of business.
