My prediction.... Nike will continue to cut domestic/ U.S. workers (FTE, ETW's) and will be completely outsourced to Poland and India with a few mid to senior-level directors managing these departments. JD will be pleased as the stakeholders will be jumping with joy. He will be chastened as a hero that saved Nike... JD might even get a spot in an updated version of the book " shoe dog" with PK blessing....

Nike definitely IS outsourcing to the India Capability Center (ICC), China Capability Center (CCC) and Poland Capability Center (PCC). Frequently, leadership in these locations will be Nike FTE's, but the bulk of the worker bees will be under a managed service agreement (contractors). The OP statement about ETW and FTE jobs going offshore to cheaper locations is happening already. The plethora of complaints from Nike teams about not getting backfill or new people when the teams are running VERY low is a direct result of the decision to move those positions to the capability centers.
they are not outsourcing to poland and india...they are off-shoring...these will be nike employees....also a office in Atlanta opening.
