Is there anybody here from one of the stores that recently closed temporarily for COVID-19 cleaning? Considering how little attention is spent on day-to-day cleaning at my store, I'm just wondering if there is actual, deep-cleaning done while the store is closed, or is it just a performative closing while nothing substantial is done?

Yeah…. They are not closing for cleaning. Walmart stores are filthy and disgusting. They don’t clean during normal business hours let alone close the store down for deep cleaning doubtful.
it would be better to just close those stores for good.
Whatever they are doing, it is for their own benefit and not for the good of their customers or associates. The only thing this company understands is the almighty dollar.
One of my female coworkers told me used feminine hygiene products all over over the ladies restroom floor.
She said she brings a small umbrella into the stall with her, as customers in other stalls toss used pads over the stall walls.
My thought is they closed the stores temporarily due to high incidences of covid amongst employees. Most Walmart's are filthy, and the bathrooms smell and are disgusting.
Bentonville is pretty much a incestuous open sewer, so the cleanliness of the stores just reflects their family values.

I don't even bother to aim for the toilet anymore. What's the point? No one even cleans the bathrooms at my store. Often time USED TP is littered about.
Last week the manager held a meeting about it, but started laughing when he mentioned the "p-e puddles". I really suspect he is the culprit.
Walmart’s are always nasty. Never any paper towels, sink and commodes are always nasty. If they don’t clean there where else don’t they clean.
