How to check just how much your management loves you

Got a nice holiday email a couple days ago from one of the absolute clown directors in my group stating the following:

"You are so important for us. Merry Christmas"

Notice he said FOR us, rather than TO us. I don't think he actually did that on purpose because I doubt he's smart enough to know the difference, however the slip in wording is pretty telling about about how these clowns value us. We're not actually important TO them as people but rather FOR them as means for their own selfish ends.

If you want to spread a little holiday cheer heading into 2022, feel free to send your colleagues to the following tool. Got me feeling warm and fuzzy to confirm that my current $80k salary that hasn't changed since 2017 ought to be $90.5k in 2022 just to stay at the same purchasing power as it was in 2017. Or to put it another way, my $80k salary in 2022 is like having a $73.5k salary in 2017. Good thing I've had good marks on my annual evaluation s every year, wouldn't want to think about how much worse it would be if I wasn't a top performer...

Maybe it's time for me to start bringing 11% less output/value to Oracle? Plus maybe a little less for good measure to make up for the fiscal raw dogging of the last 5 years?

Fugging manager clowns.

I’m surprised they didn’t just say “we still need to USE you”. That’s how they really think of you. Personal slaves.

Simply put, who cares? One can reap far better gains outside of ORCL than within. If you have a desired skill set, simply market yourself to learn what you're missing out on!

"Oracle rank and file are all loozers. "

If you are a current employee, and you did not vote down this post, then you are a wimp, and you have just proven the post!

If you think they treat their employees badly, just wait until you see how they treat their customers...

I have been both, you are not wrong.

Question: How to check just how much your management loves you

Answer: If, during your closed door one-on-one, your manager uses a size 8, they only kind of "love" you. On the other hand if, during your closed door one-on-one they use a size 10 or a size 12, then they really, really "love" you.

P.S. remember to relax during these sessions

Looters?

Was that a mistake, or brilliance?

Looters are non Oracle employees who waste their time as trolls on an Oracle layoff site!

Oracle rank and file are all loozers. It is a fact. Otherwise they would not work at Oracle.

No, they don't love you at all. They just love their money. You can be dumped anytime whenever you are not that important. Do not trust every word from their mouth.

Oracle is paying people like they’re in th 90’s. Terrible company, worst mgmt, HR made of p-I-g cr-p. Leaving that slop pile was the best part of my year. Also telling my slob mgr and his fruity director that they are wrong and d-mb. The mgmt there is some of the worst ever. Especially the GBU. And there are SO many people doing two full time gigs to double up its hilarious. Know few people using their oracle computers to run Amazon biz.

Oracle. You are the biggest loser.

I don't know what your role at Oracle is, but that sounds pretty darn low for a tech employee? Are you a non techie in some sort of admin role?
