The more you pretend and the more confidence you have, the better. If you plan to achieve something only with your work, you will hardly make it. Sometimes I get tired of pretenders and their overly confident appearance until their results speak for themselves. Maybe someone will come forward to say that this is not true or that it is the case in all companies. No it's not.

@7uln . Interesting. What kind of potential though? When judging potential, plenty of thing can go amiss. Great potential doesn't guarantee any fulfillment of said potential, especially something is lacking when that potential is failing in performance.
Before someone mention success built on trial and errors, I would say that identifying problem, and problem solving is a skill set of its own. Unless the expert analyzer and problem solvers are in place, it's a goose chase getting all the potential while neglecting performance.
I sat in multiple HR sessions where we were asked to evaluate talent based on potential …not performance. Results don’t matter. Clearly.
Then stop pretending that it matters!
Not generally the case with all companies but definitely with Nike.
Once you call them out on their BS, you are basically ostracized.
This is the case with all companies.
