Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

Many people here are not bad, but this culture has made them look bad. It seems to me that this company has corrupted many?
I know a few people who worked hard and gave their best and are now hated here, but only because they realized on time that performance here is not enough and that it is much more important to build connections instead of working hard. Of course, I do not justify their choices, however, this phenomenon is not at all unusual in this company.
