Thread regarding Nike Inc. layoffs

Busy work

I used to love my job and I knew what I did was important. Call me crazy, but I enjoyed knowing that what I did made a difference. Now, most of what I'm doing each day is busy work. Each new round of layoffs I expect to be affected - and I hope I will be - and so far I managed to survive. How I have no idea. This explains a lot about the current state of the company, though.

You should talk more directly to your manager’s manager. Your manager will get so paranoid about that you will surely be out next round.

Nothing Nike does is important, never forget that. The company has no impact on the work and has no values.

If you’re getting bored from having a manager that has no idea how to produce work in a work environment, try organizing your inbox, I’m getting really good at it, and it’s a translatable skill. Everyone has an inbox. Seriously if the next round of layoffs has anything to do with inboxes, I’m in the clear.
