I came here from a company that has a very different culture. Let’s just say I wasn’t paid there as much as I wanted to, but the culture was great. I'm paid better here, but I can't get used to the dynamics and the environment.
I worked in several companies, but nowhere was I more lost than here. It may be just me, but I still think that the environment here is not very welcoming for new hires.
I would like to know about your experiences when you first came here? How long did it take you to adapt?

It’s very tough, so many stupid processes and unwritten rules.
Approvals process for anything in sales is decided by people in India who have great pride in rejecting requests
“Fill the cup” is just fu----g ludicrous and belongs at a frat party, not exactly the way to win customers minds! Essentially the process of making sure customers didn’t down grade their subscriptions for saas that they weren’t using.
Even in the pandemic they treated the customers like an enemy
I’d suggest hanging around, get a bit of experience and plot your escape, use the private health care whilst you can, it’s very good :-)
Documentation? We don’t need no stinking documentation!
That's pretty much it. And when you actually produce any, nobody bothers to read it.
Without a doubt, it's a unique culture. I'm a "retread": worked for Oracle in the late 90s, left and came back about 15 years later. Even on my return, it took me over a year to figure things out.

Procedures and processes and checklists for everything. If you can find them.
You're not kidding. Oracle is the WORST documented company I ever worked for. People were amazed I put so much effort into my documentation.
Just try to relax before going into your closed door "management 1-on-1s". It gets less painful and you will adjust over time.
Exactly! Otherwise it's like "ow!, ow!, ow!, Ow!, OOOWWWWWWWWW!!!"

Get out of the company. The management is corrupt.
You have to work with people that ask 3 people the same question shopping for an answer they want to hear.
The biggest issue is that you ask 3 different people how to do one simple, or should be simple thing, you get three different answers.
I’ve heard many people say that about going to work at Oracle. I sure found it to be true.
