I was worried about layoffs and ran into this page. It was hard to go through the posts, seeing so much hate directed at the company. Believe it or not, many of us still like State Farm. We like working here. Why else would I be worried about layoffs? People who hate it are just vocal here but in reality, they are in the minority.

I love SF!
I genuinely like my job at SF but I’m not in claims or underwriting. I started off in underwriting over a decade ago when it was a great/professional/respected job. I had my AFO and did it all, phones underwriting and reunderwriting. I’m in a corporate dept now and do like it a lot. We are treated like adults. I’ve also heard how bad it is in Claims. It does sound like very myoptic leadership.

This site represents the 2 disparate groups that work at SF. Those in claims and underwriting and those with jobs that have no comprehension of how poorly claims and underwriting has been treated the last decade. If you love SF I can guarantee you are not in the first group. If you are disappointed in, confused by, distrusting of the direction and the leadership in this company then you are likely in the first group. I invite anyone that loves their job to come over to claims and try it out, let me know in 30 days how you feel about it.
this site is dominated by about 10 people who get off on creating pain for other people and hate their life. Keep up the good work. Its a big company your gonna have a few nuts crack along the way. Merry Christmas!
There is a fear from those not living near a hub being let go due to location.
The job, section, career OP is in is clearly the minority. Claims is not worried about layoffs they just want the tools and ability to succeed. I believe everyone wants SF to succeed. The issue is complicated. But I wouldn’t expect a troll to understand. I’m glad your happy and lack empathy due to ignorance. It seems your worried about a layoff possibly because your job just isn’t essential nor productive. Please prove me wrong.
