Thread regarding Verizon Wireless layoffs

Let's just lie to everyone for the holidays.

I'm sorry mister customer. I am completely out of your phone if you are upgrading. If you are adding a line then I completely have your phone. Sick plan leadership!

Actually, we are out of a majority of all phone models of all manufacturers. During the summer months when we had more supply we walked them especially the nasty customers that just want the phone, no accessories definitely no insurance, and with 0 percent opportunity with pull thru. Yes people come to our store nor ever thinking we are a service provider not a Device manufacturer. My former GM said "why would you ever do a upgrade with no revenue " So at this time why would you sell the 1 iPhone 13 pro max( 5 in inventory)to one of these people? Also, most reps are being extra cautious with the Ris survey imagine getting a 7 or 8 and thus being commission deceleration. We actually have people that walk in our store and tell us they didn't know they could buy a phone elsewhere? If it wasn't true it' would be laughable.

Yeah, with RIS majorly effecting my pay. I'll walk a customer before I even access their account. I'll scare them and say something like "sorry, all we have are the really expensive 512GB iphones" or something to that effect. "Why don't you go order it directly from the manufacturer. You'll get it much faster". GTFO here.

Pay me on upgrades and remove RIS from my pay and I'll do everything I can to upgrade their phones.

For the last few months I decided what was in stock for customers. I walked plenty if I didn’t like how the transaction was going...new lines or not. A few weeks ago a customer came in 30 minutes to close. She demanded we sell her a new phone and we better get all her “ stuff “ onto the new phone. Problem was her iPhone was stolen. Her other problem was that I was helping her and hmmmm....no iPhones left in stock. I sent her packing to an Apple store that was nearby.
