What are you talking about, have you not listened to one word Kelly says? Truist doesn’t lay off people, they have them sign “happiness” papers.
In all seriousness, layoffs have long been a fundamental part of SunTrust’s (um, I mean Truist) fear-based management style. It is a big reason why SunTrust, from a performance perspective, was such a laggard before the merger - I saw many talented people simply walk away from that bank even when the job market was terrible. However, now is an incredible time to find a new job, so why anyone would want to live in constant fear is beyond me…or support Bill and Beau…
