Thread regarding ExxonMobil Corp. layoffs

PIP is Okay - let’s be real

Given a significant number of mo--ns working in the company
Given that most employees have been d-mbed down to become lethargic and unproductive creatures
Given that we have been hiring toxic and similar fake people for years
Given that employees have been hooked to greed and abandoned understanding of real professions and careers

It is fine to PIP many and most. It’s too bad that due to presence of a large number of worthless and toxic employees, few who have some talent get crushed and defeated. Happy holidays though.

Not bad but all of these will not take you too far if you’re not sponsored.
If you’re just a regular employee, only one solution: find another job.

I agree with OP. After seeing many of my friends PIP’d or laid off who were very good and seeing the useless people getting raises and promotions, I learned a few things: 1. Do as little as possible, 2. Never have a good idea but always tell people above me that their ideas are “awesome”, 3. Suck up, drink with the right crowd, 4. Bad mouth everyone else to people above me since I don’t know who I’ll be ranked against next year, 5. Do nothing, cannot overemphasize this last one, 6. Say I’m working from home while working another job at my own company or another company that allows work from home to double my salary.

Anyone have any other tips?

People that take posts like this seriously should be PIPed. It's just another troll.

So OP confuses the workers who are actually PIPed with the parasites who should be PIPed but most definitely aren’t ?

OP right on target, mostly. The description of the PIPed employee provided is actually the description of the non PIPed employee who make up 00% of our managers, Executives and HIPOs.

OP, what you said seem to be applicable only to researchers and managers at CSR in Clinton, New Jersey.
