I saw one IC5 at OCI joined Twitter as a staff engineer. I know he was a star at OCI.
Does a staff engineer at twitters get better pay than IC5 at OCI?

The recruiting “fix is in” collusion scandal of the 2000s says that there was a TON of coordination amongst the big tech companies keeping salaries down and staff movement muffled.
They were caught doing this before, but don’t think they have stopped. They just know how to hide it better. When will this BS stop? When salaries are published/open. Otherwise, how do you know that the data you are using to evaluate your offer is solid?
Recruiting is considered an HR function, but in reality it’s a sales job. Like Pesci says in “Casino”, it’s all about the dollars.
Every company has its own title/ranking process: the real difference is when comparing total compensation package.
