A friend told me his salary increase. Anyone heard that? Should we be excited about it?

Yep conformed today. Got a 'market adjustment increase' effort Jan 1. About equal to an above-average merit increase.

I got a huge increase in salary without asking for it. I think they were nervous about me leaving while all this BS was going down. They still should be very nervous.

Could be that you maxed out your 401K contributions for the year.
I've heard nothing. But I checked by pre-deposit notice online and noticed an unexplained increase in the amount. It will be a mystery until I can examine my payslip when it shows up in workday in two days. Who the he-l knows with this company.
