Thread regarding Xerox Corp. layoffs

Comdoc and Carr Presidents are gone

In the past 2 weeks, two of the 11 remaining XBS leaders have left the company. What do they know that you don't? They see the writing on the wall. Leadership that doesn't make decisions, promotions of people who lack the background and experience to truly transform a business and have no desire to even try. If you want to know where the company is spending time and money look at the people posting on this blog lately. Anytime a topic is started within minutes there are internet trolls come and divert the topic to something unrelated. This dilutes the conversation and readers move on to the next topic and so the topic dies. Coincidence? I think not. It's the Xerox PR machine at it's best.

These leaders left successful XBS cores to work in growing businesses where they will be supported, where investments are made strategically to add value. X is just riding the wave until they create enough parts that can be sold off one at a time since this thing isn't worth anything as one big company.

Those of you working in XBS tell me I am wrong. Tell me that your Core leaders are strong business people. The guy in Texas abuses his people and is only interested in playing golf, the lady in Florida is having a party in the middle of a pandemic, the guy in Virginia is a self promoter who bashes his own boss on calls with sales reps and openly talks about how little he thinks of anyone in Corporate X unless they are in ear shot, and on and on and on. What are these people doing to help the company grow and what is Corporate doing to drive change. Nothing is the answer and it is a shame, this used to be a great company.

For context, I have worked at Xerox for 16 years. I was in XBS for several years and have been in Corporate for the last 5. I work with all of these people and I know many of the personally. I am ashamed of what has happened to this once great company. 5 years ago, I would have bet money that I would retire from this company. Now I don't know that I will make it through the next quarter. Happy Holiday's

For clarity , one left… the other didn’t.
Someone at that level doesn’t have another C level role within weeks if let go.
All the leaders are looking ….they’d be fools not to.

If you look at Carr's "former" president's resume on LinkedIn, you'll see he hasn't held a job longer than three years. Clearly, Xerox knew this and wasn't interested in hiring any long term leadership. They simply wanted a short term puppet who would spout the company line while overseeing the dismantling of a once successful core.

I can't believe our Core president is still intact. He's doing nothing of note, except try and urge people back into the office during a pandemic. Waste of a salary. Spends most of his time posting political and religious garbage on LinkedIn.

You are a carbon copy of how a lot of people feel. They are gonna feel this one in the wallets, once the customers are fed up. Thinking they are probably there now. Seriously good luck getting out of this company’s fiasco.

@wvz
I hear you.....I too was badged over....my core would be screwed without me, that is a fact......I too stayed for the bonus, I too am interviewing and looking......I am contemplating giving my notice this week.....I can afford to take a few months off....I am tired of the same old cr-p every day, I just don't get why any intelligent person would want to be President of this mess

Civilian casualties happen even in wartime. What makes anyone think that people working at xerox are somehow exempt from being a casualty of this corrupt dealing?
Unless of course your part of the problem, or in on the take. In that case, I guess it’s business as usual, until the walls fall in on you.
Anyone reading this should have left 6 months ago, if not earlier.

They were both forced out just like the rest of the Presidents of the cores. Always part of the plan to slim the number of leaders down nationally. Nothing to see hear.

Ever since the company turned service over to the XBS clowns, it's been a total sh-t show. One of the greatest service organizations in the history of American business has been completely destroyed.

Management is beyond unqualified and ignorant. Pompous a-s, holier than thou management. Poor decisions and lackadaisical attitude toward problems.
A sure winning combination. These guys had plenty of warning. You made your bed, now lay in it.

Joanne Collins Smee has ruined XBS. She has no clue how to succeed SMB. It's a shame Xerox doesn't realize..

Unqualified management gets promoted while the regular Joe employees get to deal with irate, pi---d off, customers looking for toner or drums.

Promotions are given not on experience, background, or performance, but how well you kiss a$$. Except when people get fired, then you just need to be in the right place at the right time.

Get outta Dodge now. You people thought I was kidding or exaggerating.
Not so much. If you stay you will be a casualty of the bad decisions.

I don't think these presidents left voluntarily. I believe they were fired.

I have NO respect for anyone in XBS, my President, knowing I was the reason the contracts department was so successully run didn't hesitate 2 seconds to "sell" me to HCL but kept all of his a-s kissers as Xerox employees.....I stayed for the stay bonus only, let that be said as it was quite substantial......I would have left sooner if not for Covid, I have 2nd interview next week and am counting the days I can finally give my resignation.....Presidents leaving is a HUGE sign to get the he-l out
