Thread regarding Fiserv Inc. layoffs

Has anyone heard of someone going from full time to part time?

Just curious

I was 30 hrs a week and when Fiserv bought the division (many years ago) part-time was eliminated so I went full time. Part-time hasn't been allowed as an alternative work arrangement in the business unless there is a temporary medical need, nothing permanent.

No. But Fiserv would try to make you keep the same workload if you did, so what would be the point?

I asked and was told no but I know of others that did. My boss was too afraid of asking his boss. So I left.

Do you mean...forced to go from being FT to PT or an elective decision? During my tenure with FS, no, I have not personally known anyone who did this.
