Thread regarding State Farm Insurance layoffs

Are they testing our limits or what?

Is there really nothing this company can do to keep its employees? I don't think that's true and SF can certainly offer better conditions, but it doesn't want to. I think SF is very wrong to test the tolerance limits of its employees. It's a mistake that they might pay for.
People no longer want to stay and be happy just because they have a job, many are encouraged to look for something better for themselves. I am afraid that it will be too late when the top realizes that maybe they should've changed their strategy.

This job can be very stressful, that's a given. So much BS to put up with! Hard to picture now, I know, but fast forward to the future when the coronavirus is but a distant memory and thousands more will find themselves out of the very jobs they were complaining about due to mass employee layoffs. Get your house in order now because a decision will be made for all of us including those who can't make it themselves.

Sounds like people that will spend 1500.00 for a purse and then wonder why they can't afford to retire.

They send out an email every few months to everyone that thanks people for like, stuff we do for them, and to SF, that is good enough for this company. Over the years I've heard so much talk about improving this, but never once any real, meaningful action to keep its workers. I expect many changes that do not cost money and entail no real effort by the company to improve employee experience, but never anything real.

Working in claims right now is like being a border patrol agent. You work for incompetent leaders.

It's like a ship that sails. You can only make so many repairs to it before it sinks to the bottom. Can't wait until bonus time to see the masses up and get out of this horrible company. There truly is a difference in micromanaging people and coaching people and they don't get it.

Nobody ever said titles come with intelligence. I know grandparents today who have more intelligence than MBA's and/or CEO's. It's their mission to push you to the limit. They "get off" on chaos unless it hits them in the lap. Be patient. It's coming and common sense will have the last laugh.
