Thread regarding Cengage layoffs

Are we safe from cuts for now?

From what I can see, attrition is at an all-time high so Cengage is shedding costs without having to pay severance. I can't imagine a better situation for the company. I'm hoping that the numbers look good enough and enough folks are walking out on their own that there's no need for cuts any time soon.

If attrition is at an all-time high, I feel sorry for those left behind. Don't count on reinforcements coming any time soon. My old job has been posted for weeks and 0 applicants so far. Sorry, not sorry.

They lost the head of Product Development and a Director on the technical side.

Yeah, I would like to know how much Cengage has lost on the NGL deal.

NGL doesn't count. We all know that by now. Look how they are treated. I would be surprised if there wasn't cuts to NGL.

Pearson U.S. Higher Education was down 6% Oct-Dec. I would expect Cengage to be the same.
