I shouldn’t be surprised, but I still am. I can not believe there wasn’t any type of corporate conference call or corporate email regarding the winter weather warning. Money over safety of employees will never cease to amaze me. Early close and delay start should of been made more so many BBB stores and of course they did not.

I think corporate should be sending alerts when it’s cold or raining. How else would we know to wear a coat or use an umbrella?
The least sentence in your post makes no sense. Neither the fact corporate should get involved..as many have said it is the DM and SM. Have you never been in a storm before?
I agree with the OP. I’m guessing a lot of stores should of been shut down or delayed due to that storm, and they weren’t due to the “bosses” not caring about their employees safety. Doesn’t matter if it was a corporate decision or a sm/dm decision. My area had 10”-12” of snow and delays or closures were not made for our several local stores. My shopping plaza was desolate and 75% of the stores never opened the entire day due to that storm, but not BBB.
Agree that it is up to each store and DM. What is O.P. saying? Corporate should close / warn ALL stores for a snow even on the east coast?
It’s up to the store now
If I find it dangerous to drive as an SM I close down or open early
Nothing New here
Should have been a decision between the store manager and the DM. With all the turn over though, maybe neither was with the company last year and didn’t ask the question?
We had associates have accidents trying to get to work in past years. Luckily no injuries.
