Thread regarding Verizon Wireless layoffs

How many people still visit stores?

Honestly, with online shopping being so prevalent, how much foot traffic do stores get these days? I'm assuming it's mostly seniors who are refusing to learn how to use anything that was invented in the last 30+ years. This is a genuine question: how many people walk in daily to do anything else but browse?

I thought you said "to be honest". But you spew lies?

Only old boomers sit in slam pit covid super spreader cell phone shops for two hours.

To be honest, I help just as many 20-30 yr olds who are just as clueless as the seniors....and we usually run 1-2 hr wait times.

Partially right. Reps time is not precious. The good news the boomer base will die off soon and stores will be ghost towns.

its not the number of people but the average age of people going into stores. all over 60 wasting an hour of a rep's precious time.

Our store is usually pretty busy and we all work hard together. It's actually a pretty fun work environment

They've been slowly converting our stores into assisted living facilities. Good thing we're on team commission so I can hang out with grandma in the corner for a few hours and I'll still make the same check as everyone else.

I stopped bothering going into the store by my house when I needed something. Every time I did I was told the wait would be an hour, even if there was only 1-2 other people in the store. Much less annoying to buy things from my couch.

"More than the stores can handle"

The stores can "handle" about two boomers an hour with being chronically short staffed and all the BS the clerks have to do just to get through a transaction. Total 🤡 show 💩 show!
