Thread regarding Verizon Wireless layoffs

These Opinions vs The Street's???

Sounds like VZ is not so bad off according to "the Street" vs all the opinions posted on this site....

  • Earnings have been mild when compared to the billions of dollars' worth of investments into the build-out of 5G in recent years at Verizon, leading to stock declines throughout 2021.
  • However, returns on previous 5G investments are expected to become more pronounced this year, with greater adoption underpinned by extended coverage and introduction of new 5G-enabled devices.
  • 2022 will be a pivotal year for 5G and Verizon is well-poised to becoming a market share gainer this year, driving potential for massive near-term upsides of more than 20%.

It literally says we’re not making much money and hoping for the best down the road with 5g. What corporate person came on here to use this as sm--k talk? This is why y’all shouldn’t have your jobs…. We have a revenue spiff because the company finally figured out making money is IMPORTANT, not just having customers add lines and cancel lines or slam them with products they’ll remove when they find it on their bill. We do this to make numbers look good for shareholders, but something tells me they’re realizing these numbers we “produce” don’t add up to actual profits….

If we are relying on 5G to save us, we are screwed.

Most people on these pages are trolls. They are either bitter they got fired, they are trying to push discontentment to boost union membership, or they are competitors. You can tell by how many don't even know basic facts about the company It really is one of the better companies to work for.
