She was excited to tell me she got an offer from Truist and another smaller bank, but I told her not to even think about joining this place. She was surprised since she thought I liked my job and I did, but that was when I worked for BB&T. I told her everything that's wrong with this place now, and it was not a short list. If she hadn't had the other offer, I might have kept my mouth shut, but since she had a choice, I made sure she didn't make the wrong one.

Dissuaded?
I made sure we cherry picked the best people I know (and the best people they know), work around the no solicit, poach them and managed to build an amazing team.
I feel sad for the few good people that left and even worse for those that were suckered in. I have tried to talk sense to a few very capable people that for some reason have not yet left and I feel like they are suffering from "Battered Women Syndrome" - they are abused but are not willing to leave.
(This is a psychological term, please no one take offense and the few highly capable people I am referring to are both men and women)
Great. Spread it far and wide. The place is a joke. Like Beau our main guy…..what a loser.
You are very good friend, Truist should be happy with existing staff lol, just maybe few more rounds of layoffs
Glad you saved her from this s***show.
You're a good friend! :^)
There have been times in my life that I could have used the ugly truth and instead just got a smile and a nod from people afraid to seem “rude” or be downers. I may not have listened, but then it would have been on me.
Friends don’t let their pals walk straight into trouble without at least giving a heads-up.
I bet you’re fun at parties.
Enjoy being miserable!
