Thread regarding Verizon Wireless layoffs

Remember

The inflation rate is 7%, therefore if Verizon gives you a raise of anything 7% or less, It’s not actually a raise. You are actually getting a decrease in pay.

Verizon doesn't pay enough in any position. They haven't given a real raise in years... Except the millions they give to upper management in raises. Also, anyone elss want to bet that "network" and "corporate" get full STI again wile service gets screwed?

I work at a company where 7% is the norm, yes not on inflation but just met standards.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but, raises are not based on the current inflation rate. It is what it is! They've barely ever covered the expense of rising healthcare premiums, much less inflation which is at an all time high. You really think a company would ever even consider giving you a 7% raise to match inflation, much less Verizon? Seriously. What a d-mb post.

If we are really only getting 3% should we petition Biden to pay the other 4% from his pocket?

3% should cover our upcoming union fees... I hope the leaders are actually prepared for the call tomorrow. They’ve had a year and half to get ready.
