Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Aren't we creating risk if Wells is trying to have Agile Teams in the same office?

I worked on a high octane team pre-Saul that was 100% remote and we leveraged everyone's location to our advantage. Some folks on the team were early risers, and some were night owls. But we were able to handoff work and support during this time so that our teams goals were met.

I think in order to have true business continuity, we DO have to have folks distributed.

The old’ Agile model stranded in this gigantic red tape swamp… the 2 don’t work well together. Also, try to get in touch with any of the various teams needed to support our apps or approve /discuss S Now change requests after 11 am est… inefficiency at its worst.

Yeah, remember the building fire they had in WDM a few years ago? People couldn't return to get their laptops.

Maybe a sweat shop in the sense of the pay that's provided. Just saying.

having visited some of our sites in India I can tell you it isn't a sweatshop. the AC works quite well.

OP is right.

Few years ago I had a guy in Ireland, and another guy in Hawaii. It sure was good having competent people both on the early side of the day, and again on the late side.

Now what do we have? Everybody bunched up, plus a sweatshop in India.

So now your team is not high octane? Went from a bunch of high performers to Meets performers. Good work!

Is this your lame attempt on why you should work remote?
