If so, your getting canned. Just received notification.

‘ I see they put the Monterey Senior Engineering Manager that knows nothing about technology at an address in Monterey that is a branch.’
That is called a Tech work-around.
@2xhk, thank you for making sense.

I literally laughed out loud at this considering where the Florida resident came from. 🤣
So, like most things... did you talk with your manager first? No? Then what would you expect to happen?

I moved from NY to FL 18 months ago and it was retroactively approved. The weather is nice & there is no covid. Voting against DeSatan is just a bonus.
Another antiquated way of thinking. If people are doing their jobs effectively, who cares where they are? Oh, only the managers who’s existence is justified by “watching over” people.
This company pays taxes in every state there is a branch. My only caveat would be not to move to where there are no branches or tax issues could be a real thing.
It means the ahole NYers that took NY money and moved to FL without telling anyone now needing to be in the office. Ba-bye and take you Dem vote with you.
Yep, see ya!
So if I moved to a new apartment complex in my city, I’m going to get canned?
I think the biggest risk is taxes, a lot of people moved to a different state and if you didn't disclose and are being taxed in an old state then that puts both you and the company in legal trouble.
I see they put the Monterey Senior Engineering Manager that knows nothing about technology at an address in Monterey that is a branch. Is that how they are handling the special ones that they aren't forcing to move to a hub or live near a WF facility? I find that ridiculous.
This was mentioned in the RTO FAQ. It said something like if you moved during Covid but did not discuss it with your manager first that is considered voluntary resignation. I get it if you worked in a position that is normally only performed in a specific location (or call center or branch), but if you were 100% remote before or had a back office job working with a nationwide team, then as long as you update your HR records for payroll I think it’s ridiculous to consider this voluntary resignation or a termination event.
Thank you, come again.
I think you meant to type “you’re”, not “your”.
What do you mean received notification? Email from manager or HR or????? What did the notification tell you? Are you being dismissed, have to move back? Thanks for the incredibly vague and useless thread.
Well, if you’re cleared to work in one location it sure doesn’t give you the right to just choose a new one. You can’t just work at a branch, a bank, a call center, and so on - you work where you are told to work.
Yes. We need Wells Fargo’s permission on where to live
Pretty sure Op is saying if you moved and weren’t approved to move, you’ll be canned.
Congrats!
"Moved the year"? What does that even mean.
Da fu-k you talking about?
move this year?
Huh?
