Thread regarding JPMorgan Chase & Co. layoffs

Don't spend as much and you'll be okay

More and more people are complaining about being underpaid yet we have some of the best salaries in the industry. It's not your pay that's the issue, it's you not knowing how to handle money. Learn to live within your means and you'll see how quickly things will improve for you. But it's easier to complain all the time, I guess.

The OP must be the same person that wrote Chase’s infamous avocado toast tweet awhile back.

I have a work friend jumped and went to Citi. She just said it was a 20% increase for her but she is an analyst and only using this firm as stepping stone so maybe you can negotiate more if you have some more experience. Better then staying here for years with only a 2.95% annual increase

Why you care what others spend ? It’s their problem if they are so poor that they have to sell their mother to the streets, I wouldn’t care

I’m thinking of dropping my health benefits since I don’t plan on ever going to a doctors office again. They overcharge for everything.

Benefits are wayyyy overpriced too! Just found that out! Same benefits at new job 40% less from my pocket!

I’ve been on a budget my entire. Between that and always worry about the next layoff, I barely spend anything except to pay the bills. My heating costs are so high this year and I keep the heat at 65 degrees now.

People need to wake up. Things are not getting better, they are getting worse. Food, housing, heat shouldn’t take up most of your paycheck.

Yeah, work, live, eat, breathe your job, but don’t spend a dime. GTFOH. These people at the top make mountains of money while us worker bees can barely keep up due to inflation and crazy rent/real estate prices.

I’m ready to start voting democrat and go on the the dole full time.

Who the he-l are you to tell people on how to manage their own money? This company does offer competitive salaries, yes. But it is not the best in the Industry, or else employees would not be quitting in droves. Get off your high horse, you mongoose.

People are dropping like flies taking 40-70% increases in comp going to competitors. Quit it with the best salaries in the industry nonsense.

Nah, the issue is people being underpaid while still spending everything and nothing to show for. While they need to start spending wisely, these people need to find a better job instead of just sitting there complaining but still willing to work in the firm
