Thread regarding Allstate Corp. layoffs

You'll never be happy

The fact is that the majority of those who love to complain about Allstate will never be happy and satisfied with their job, no matter where they work. Complainers are never happy, they always find something new to complain about. I feel bad for you. It must be tiring to be so negative all the time.

BS! I’m so much happier since not working at Allstate. My leadership is transparent and the workload is realistic. Not to mention I got a significant pay increase with better benefits. Only time I get angry now or complain is when I talk to some old coworkers who haven’t jumped ship yet. I hear stories about what is going on and I get so angry because I can’t believe how some of the stuff these leaders do is even allowed .

I work at progressive now, this is negative.

Allstate is not conepetitor at all with pay, or benefits. The only benefit better was the pto, and pto doesn’t pay my bills

Over time I’ve been happy and satisfied in most of my jobs. My current situation with Allstate is an exception to that trend so in light of the original post, it is incorrect.

True. I left for a different carrier and am mostly happy with the decision. I used to complain and just said F it, why complain and do nothing about my situation? Nothing is perfect. Most carriers operate in a similar fashion. If you hate Allstate, then leave or STFU. I miss a lot of the people I worked with, but I'm part of a new crew and it's mostly great by comparison.

It must be tiring keeping up the PR image of sc-m bags that laid off half the claims staff the day after thanksgiving 2020. Merry Xmas you filthy animals .

I have worked for many insurance companies and Allstate is the absolute worst in every way. I’m only sticking around for the severance and unemployment. I’m happy to do that. Plus the fall of this empire is very entertaining to watch. I have a plan B ready to go and I’m happy about that too. I come to this board to gauge the truth and boy howdy it’s good to know I’m not alone in my opinions. Trolls and kool aid drinkers are hilarious here. I’m happy camper waiting for the end.

Looks like somebody's been drinking the corporate kool-aid.

OP @vso+1eGFVLfp& are company trolls that are trying to defend a company in the early stages of a meltdown; think Sears in the 1980's ( which is a good comparison considering Wilson is a Sears prodigy ). I have close to 30 years of Allstate experience and will tell you a lot changed when Allstate went public. More PC BS, bad decisions to keep Wall Street happy and the importing of terrible Sears executives led by Wilson and Liddy. That was the beginning of the end.

Something something reputation defender... OP is spot on but will get roasted in the comments by Allstate lifers who have never experienced hard work at their cushy desk job and who have nothing better to do with their time
