Thread regarding Fiserv Inc. layoffs

Why, why, why…

Started as part of their analyst program not too long ago. I must say… I clearly had no idea what I was getting myself into. While still very early in my career, I can see the problems that trickle down from the top and the disconnect between Frankserv and their employees. Find myself regretting the decision to join but I’m staying because the lack of experience.

There are no guarantees at this company I personally do not trust Frank and his leadership it’s all about them and the bottom line before Frank FISERV was a great company they cared about the employees today you are nothing to them

Try to stick it out one year if you can. If you can't, nobody here will judge you (LOL!). Don't worry about having a short work gap on your resume' if you leave withing fewer than 1 or 2 years. The job market is on fire. More open positions than there are people to fill them.

After six months of work you will be an Experienced employee with one year of experience.

Start looking for your next job now, while Fiserv has a halfway decent reputation. Soon it’ll be poison to other employers.

I’ve always wondered how others viewed the analyst program. Thoughts?

I hate to say it, but the analyst program is just a façade for managers to inflate their groups with scapegoat positions they can draw upon when the next forced layoff initiative comes down from Frank. They do this so they can protect key group members.

Avoid getting into the politics of it all. It's ok to observe, and shake your head to yourself... but avoid it at all costs. Just do your job the very best you can, while you gain that all-important initial couple years experience.

The good news is that you have l learned this early. Be thankful for your gained experience and make your career work for you.
