Thread regarding Fiserv Inc. layoffs

I'm not hoping for better infrastructure anymore

I have been following this forum for a long time and I was surprised that someone just mentioned the inadequate infrastructure that triples the amount of time to do our jobs. It drives me crazy. Not only do I think it’s a waste of time, but it’s also frustrating. When I finish a job I am more tired than I really should be if the infrastructure was adequate. However, for Fiserv that is a big "expense", it seems?

ETG FTS is a mess to put it mildly. With technology moving fast, they are not able to catch up. and the OFS cr---y management of FTS isnt helping

More time is spent trying to work through the built in pitfalls than doing actual work tasks.

Enlightening: I remember a simple network request was 5 ETG/FTS resources ( 1 program manager, 1 project manager, 1 solutions architect, 1 security person, 1 network worker bee who actually worked on the request) spending hours in meetings f for the intake process, then multiple meetings/emails to understand what is required, etc for a 10 minute task that I can do with my cloud in 10 minutes. I surely don’t miss that
