They will lay off higher priced people in the US and replace them with new hires in the Mexico center.

From a Sales Engineer/Architect perspective there is absolutely no need for layoffs. In fact the opposite is true! That is why they will pay $5,000 to refer someone to be hired! They will be desperate to hold the headcount at current levels, let alone decline.

Looking in finance results, lay-off might happen in hardware, gnu and some middleware zones.
Forget about layoffs, Market is very good outside and it’s time to quit.
