I know many here believe that the current leadership is stupid and incompetent, but they're not. What they are is not invested in the longevity of the company. What they want are quick returns that will make them rich. Layoffs achieve that, for example, even if they harm the company long-term. They know exactly what they are doing.

Just wait until they start letting everyone know how much $$ they just cut out of the budget for this year. When you see that, you’ll know this post right here is everything. Get ready…they’re tearing this company and the employees down piece by piece. And walking away with millions.
In many companies comes a time when the company is past its peak even if it is still making money. They see the horizon and know they are on the downslope. Options then are to brutally squeeze out any remaining $$$, sell off parts of it, use the money it is still generating or from the sales to buy up competitors and/or try to remake the company into something different. All these can be in motion at once. It is intentional, what the companies in that situation do.

That's what I've been saying for a while now. 2018 Frank's total compensation was $102,210,396. Yeah this guy is an id--t. I wish we were friends, too bad I'm his employee so I'm fucked.

I agree with both these statements. I watch FB sc--w FD for all it was worth now watching him do the same to Fiserv. FB only cares about the stockholders or I should say the top 1% of stockholders the rest of us not so much.
Agreed, their actions are very intentional and driven by greed. Compassion for associates is gone, bottom line means everything.
