Thread regarding Allstate Corp. layoffs

The truth..if you choose to believe it

I am sorry to burst bubbles but if you work in claims or operations, it is unlikely that you will be working for Allstate by 2024.
2022 will be a year of layoffs that will
Make last year feel small in comparison…
The majority of the layoffs will be in claims and operations as many of those positions can be easily moved overseas.
Licensing requirements will not protect claims jobs. Licensing for overseas based employees is already underway..
Do not ask me how I know as I will not give away my position…
Other than senior leadership, Allstate will be a company primarily based in countries with a lower cost structure.
The decision was made that this is the only way to more quickly cut into the lead of Geico and Progressive.
Do not expect honesty from your senior leaders. You will not know that I speak the truth until the overseas infrastructure is capable of handling the voluntary terminations of US based employees that are expected once the announce my is made that will be about 90 days to 6 months before the final transition is expected to occur.
Trust me, if you get a better opportunity, take it.

Check the numbers of the India Allstate Facebook group. It has risen to 600,000 since 2017

How is severance impacted if you are out on a disability? Do you not get the same amount as if you weren't?

Yes severance will be offered but by the time this debacle is completed you will be so worn down you will either have quit, been fired or out on a disability.
They’re hoping for the first two options as that saves them the most money.

I cannot say anymore than I already have and I do not have all the specifics. Just the general framework.

Do you know what areas in operation that are going to be impacted and when?

This seems news worthy…not sure it will stop them but they should at least get beat up by the news and hopefully politicians over this. I think both political parties would be adverse to this. Also, I think states can put pressure on Allstate through licensing departments to keep this from happening.

But the post that was bullied and deleted by “ funstate” was just “ trolling “ right? … some of these people should really be ashamed. To whoever “ funstate” ( i think that was the name) actually is I personally thank you for the information days ago

Don't worry. If there are layoffs switch to another dept, go to another insurance company, or leave insurance altogether while collecting severance. No job is guaranteed anymore. We have to stop thinking that when you are hired in a position that it lasts for the rest of your life

Those that are left will be told that they must train the folks that will be taking their jobs.
As has been told on this site in earlier posts, zone leaders will be traveling to talk live in huddles.
You are going to hear about a “claims transformation” over the next few years and they are going to tell you that you need to do what needs to be done to help it succeed.
The folks who told you about these huddles are being truthful but they have not occurred everywhere yet. They probably will not be totally done until the end of the first quarter.
This is the beginning folks…
What they do bit say is that you likely will not be here at the end of their “claims transformation.”
