June 2021 showed there were only two members of the Senior Leadership Team who had been here for more than like 3 years.

Crystal ball told me they would both be gone by OCT 2021.

Can't say I'm disappointed nor surprised.

I was hoping the reason she "retired" was that someone was actually being held accountable given the insuffient progress on getting the asset cap lifted plus the recent $250MM fine.

@ims+1eEHIHSD The head of tech hired or was a decision maker in the hire the CRO of one of the largest banks in the world enthralled with scandals and regulatory pressures ? lol no chance. That was Timmy Sloan hire , it’s not all about tech and tech affected lol

@nry+1eEHIHSD If you defend DEI you had better come with a good argument. People who are sick and tired and worse yet, been tossed to the curb because of it, have legitimate gripes. Too many on this site have specifically pointed out instances of hiring someone who fit the DEI, to replace someone who was doing the job really well. This is no longer 1964. It probably made sense for the first 20 years or so but , like all Government wishes, turned into a cluster, or a Wells DEI program.

: @nry+1eEHIHSD hiring just for DEI results I’m weakness which is insulting to us as employees, customers and shareholders. Let’s be grown ups here and start picking the best person for the job.

Best comment.."It's a risk program, not a social program."

@nry+1eEHIHSD I think that was the point. WF is concentrating on DEI and ignoring the ability and skill of the hire. Most of us don't care, we just want the person at the top competent. Every time she had a risk meeting, she spent 30 minutes talking about diversity. It's a risk program, not a social program.

MN was brought in by her buddy, SVB. She is incompetent. And from personal experience, she has no communication skills and thinks she is above everyone else.

@justFedUp - Wells Fargo needs a strong leader regardless of skin color, shape, size, gender, se-ual preferences,etc... Strong leaders can be both business hires or DEI hires. Your comment sounds like "DEI hires" are weak by default which is both inaccurate and insulting.

People can spin this all they want but the optics look really bad. Hopefully the next CRO is a business hire - not a DEI hire. We have enough weak senior leaders - we need someone that knows what they are doing...
