I gave notice. Let’s just say I’m fed up with this company and it’s time for something new. There is no point in staying somewhere where you have been stagnant for a long time or even worse, where you are regressing. What a relief!
When I quit in the previous company to come here, honestly, I was a little insecure as if I subconsciously knew I was making a mistake. Now I am pleased to announce that I am only here for a few more days.
The only question is how to endure the last few days?
I just left after 17 years. Finish your time with dignity and respect for your coworkers as it’s not their fault management has become a bucket of turds. Transition your work and exit with grace. It’s hard to leave the people but it is exciting to leave the toxic sludge that the new leadership is. On to better things.

It's never a good idea to burn a bridge. Leave with grace and compassion for the one's left behind. You never know when you may meet them again. No I'm not an HR troll. I speak from experience.

Are you kidding? Skate on them. Go in and don't do jack. Have fun with it. Tell coworkers and managers what you really think of them. Give fully honest opinions to emails you get sent.

In my last standup, the incompetent b00b I called a manager half-heartedly mentioned that I was leaving. I chimed in with "...I had to, they gave me 26 thousand more reasons why!" That was enough to get the former coworkers to stewing hard over what they got paid in comparison.
