missed a step. after the paper airplane button, and before you click the blue copy button in the middle, click the down pointing (download) button below the copy button. the hover text says it is for "more share options". Then you should get to copy buttons appearing for URLs that point to the gif. Click one of them, and then paste the copied link into a new tab. That will be a gif that can be downloaded by right-mousing on it and "save as".

- Click on the the little paper-airplane (?) icon off to the right (I'm describing this on my laptop), then click the "copy" icon for either of the 2 links.
- Patch that link into a new browser tab
- Right-mouse on the gif, do a "save image as" etc
Probably a d-mb question, but is there a way to download the .gif/image file from gfycat?
