Thread regarding Kyndryl layoffs

Who will acquire Kyndryl?

The share price keeps crashing and it is now an extremely cheap buy. At price of less than $4B (+ 1.2B in debit) with over $19B in annual revenue and a large pool of talent getting hold of 1000's of hosting and Cloud contracts makes this an ideal acquisition target for a major cloud provider.

My money is on Microsoft but I think Google and AWS will have their eyes on this as well.

Yup private equity with MASSIVE restructure (ie layoffs). IBM dumped it for a reason. IBM remainder lame too. IBM will have to jettison more than Kyndryl to survive. Gosh, where is Lou when you need him?

Benadryl will get scooped up by some low cost Indian firm. Sounds like a hot bed of innovation and a great place to work!

Should read up on catching falling knives and dead cat bounces at this point.

Sadly, all outcomes result in large headcount reductions to have it make sense.

  1. Remains Kyndryl. Our CEO/CFO have said we will shrink through 2025 while we automate and hire. Need to raise PTI from 100/200M to drive up stock price.
  2. Competitor Buyout. Need to raise returns to justify purchase plus premium, can shed sales, delivery, corporate overhead etc.

Writing is on the wall. Short term brand marketing approach failed - stock price dropping fast. Market is focused on revenue growth and profit - not EBITDA and promise of potential growth in 4 years. Anyone with a different point of view?

My guess is Wipro, Tata or one of those co's. Good fit for them and will include a lot of customers they would have gotten eventually as they left IBM GTS for cheaper fees.

No chance MSFT, Google or AWS buys KD. Would have happened already for $10B if it made sense to any of them. Private Equity more likely with massive restructure. Minimum upside now that the price has dropped so far. Sucks.
