Wow, OP, properties may well have some issues, probably, and I'm just guessing, this is their first run a mid-pandemic RTO.
If you must go back to work, at least root for the guys trying to make a safe environment.
@1qzw+1dy42VUh All respect for the branch folks who have never gone WFH but, at this point, we are not being told to go anywhere. We are being asked if we want to go in early. From the looks of these responses seems like a big NO.
You can also trust that many of the hard no's are making their plan to quit when the "told" phase of RTO comes. At least management did us the courtesy of putting that date after the 401k match and bonus lock date so we can time our exits without losing out on what we're due for a year of hard work.
For literally over a year management has been saying they will give plenty of notice/warning for RTO. I know this is voluntary but an invitation on Friday morning for returning Monday? Seriously?
They've done nothing to fix the wrong location they have for nearly half the team I'm on but we all got the invite. Sure, I'll rush right in to some random office I magically got reassigned to a few weeks ago. If they had me in the office I usually go to - and people in my team are actually in - sure, I would have given it a go. But voluntarily add more chaos to my days when my assignments have me full up on crazy? I'll pass, thanks
Or like those of us in branches you could suck it up and just do the job that you’re paid to do where your employer says to do it from. If you don’t like it then you can quit.
@1ccs+1dy42VUh More than that. STD contract language "indicates" that you will get paid for this time off due to STD, but take note that it does not state "WHEN". Better have money in the bank to cover your creditors if you try the STD thing on any employer, including Wells.
RTO knowing that there is the possibility (probability?) of getting infected regardless of vax status, then planning on going on STD/LTD...that makes about as much sense as an aircraft pilot intentionally flying into a thunderstorm.
@1jfi+1dy42VUh The problem with STD is it does not pay out on time. There are endless horror stories of people winding up with bad credit due to not being able to handle their bills because STD payments were so late to arrive, if they ever did. I used to work in the STD environment, so I know this first hand.

Badges. Is everyone’s badge updated with access to their new RTO site or former location? From General Access to Elevator Bay Access to Floor Access?
If I recall badges were disabled after 90 days or 6 months pre-pandemic. Some sort of quarterly review of access.
Can you even find your badge?

Also, make sure you are enrolled for Long Term Disability insurance policy during Benefits Enrollment. If they are going to force you to return, and you get a break thru infection, then stay on disability for long haul Covid symptoms. Short Term Disability is 100% base salary plus benefits, anywhere from 12-26 weeks depending on your years of service. Long Term Disability is 65% base salary starting at week 27. Prepare yourselves. Maybe it’s a good time to up your Life Insurance as well.

the invite tells me they will eventually require vaccination-but they will also find out that it doesn't make a difference and there will be people coming into the office that are sick.
Properties was terrible before Covid. They are an excellent example of where and why WFC goes bad: cost -cutting resulting in mediocre standards, management from afar, low-wage workers who don’t give a hoot (I don’t blame them), contracting out work, reactive management style vs proactive.
It all leads to stinky bathrooms, disgusting trash bins, backed up sinks, dirty carpets, filthy windows, mice and rats in the buildings, toilets and elevators that don’t work, leaky roofs, decaying parking lots and walkways, litter-strewn parking garages.
Does anyone have faith in the quality of their air ventilation systems? Do you think their changing filters regularly and bringing in fresh air? Not if it costs them a couple extra bucks.
Guessing OP is planning to RTO on Monday to see the alleged cluster unfold. Like other poster, I know no one planning to RTO early. Well….except for one colleague who has always hated WFH and is also a short walk from the office. He’s probably stoked.
I think that's why they "invited" us back, so we can test it out and they can refine it. Everyone I talked to declined to return early.
