What an id--t

There is no script. Charlie refuses to be prepped or use talking points.
Oh, look, a video from when Charlie was CEO of Visa. Much more at ease, much smoother speaker.
I wonder why? Could it be because here his head is filled with all the things he can't say? Like how a lot of this place needs to be wiped clean before it can be broken up?

P.S. His Stanford host also says "umm" here and there. I guess only you keyboard warriors could communicate better.
Perhaps Charlie has severe sleep deprivation and does not realize it?
He needs to use his 40 hours of training on public speaking.
Look, if he could actually communicate usable information between all that "um" and "uh" complaints would be fewer.
Instead he looks like a 7 year old giving his first or-l presentation in 2nd grade.
We had smooth talkers - what did it get us? Scandal after scandal after scandal. Charlie is not beyond criticism but this nitpicky obsession of his speaking skills is pointless.
Emblematic of why getting anything done here is so hard. People focus on the wrong things and just can't help themselves from heaping on criticism for non-material points.
@cik Yes, I'm savvy enough to know a controlled pause is way more effective at engaging an audience than "uh" or "um".
You could do better?
Total disgrace of a speaker. Glad WF is getting value out of their $20+ million or whatever this guy is being paid. Great job WF BOD.
it got pretty ridiculous
If it was a drinking game, we would all be totally blitzed by now.
It is so painful to listen to this id--t try to speak and follow his script! This could easily be turned in to a drinking game!
I can't understand why he hasn't been coached better on his public speaking skills.
Um, he’s been traveling, uh, to LA and um, Phoenix to give away money and spend company profits on travel during a pandemic instead of helping the employees barely getting by.
